Dugong Buhay
Carlo J. Caparas' Dugong Buhay (Lit. Living Blood) is a
Philippinetelevision drama based on the 1983 film
of the same name, starring ex-Senator Ramon Revilla
and Sen. Bong Revilla, courtesy of Imus Productions
and Viva Films. It is aired by ABS-CBN on April 8,
2013 replacing PHR: Paraiso, starring Ejay Falcon
and Arjo Atayde. It is the third television drama
in the Philippines made by ABS-CBN to be filmed
and broadcast in high definition.[
It all started with the de Lara family and the Bernabe
family. Enrique de Lara (Ahron Villena) got married
to Isabel de Lara (Yen Santos). They were wealthy
and lived in an old small house with maids in it.
One of the special maids is Elena Pineda (Jamilla Obispo).
When Isabel gave birth to her family's first child,
they named it Gabriel (Ejay Falcon). Isabel then
bought a Christian cross as a sign of Gabriel.
The show's main antagonist, Simon Bernabe
(Noni Buencamino), sets a fire to burn the house
of the de Lara family. Everyone in the house was
able to evade, but Gabriel was still in there.
Firetrucks and ambulances looked in the house
and couldn't find the body of Gabriel since one
of their servants, Elena took him with her to her own home.
Simon and Elena then takes care of Gabriel and
names him Victor. The de Lara family thought that their son is dead.
Isabel gave birth to their second child and named
it Rafael (Arjo Atayde). The de Lara family then
moved to a newer and bigger house and lived
with Enrique's father, Alex de Lara (Ronnie Quizon).
Victor then continued his childhood. Elena
brought him to the de Lara house to play with Rafael.
Victor then throws an RC Airplane toy and Alex
grabs him and gets mad at him harshly until
Isabel tells Alex to stop. Elena witnessed (sneaking
through the front gate) how he reacted at Victor.
Back with the Bernabe family, Simon trains
Victor how to hike in such dangerous areas.
Victor then falls down in which causes his head to bleed.
