KUNG FU DIVAS

Kung Fu Divas is a 2013 Filipino action comedy film produced

 under Reality Entertainment and The O&Co. Picture Factory

starring Ai Ai delas Alas and Marian Rivera. The lead stars also

 co-produced the film which will open in theaters on

 September 25, 2013 as part of Star Cinema's 20th

 Anniversary presentation.

Two well-known actresses from two different television

 networks have teamed up for an action adventure comedy

 movie set to be released this coming

 September 25, 2013 in theaters all over the Philippines.

 GMA-7 talent Marian Rivera who is probably the

 biggest female star from the network has joined

forces with comedy queen Ai-Ai de las Alas from

ABS-CBN and came up with Kung Fu Divas, a

comedy directed by Onat Diaz. The full trailer for

the film has already been released and it’s exactly

what you’d expect from a Filipino comedy film.

This is the very first time that de las Alas and Rivera worked

alongside each other on the same movie project. The fact that

 they are from rival networks makes the film really interesting.

It’s not very often that we get to see talents crossing over to

other networks to make movies. Kung Fu Divas is a co-

production between The O&Co. Picture Factory Inc. and Reality

 Entertainment. It will be distributed by no other than

Star Cinema, the biggest film production company in the Philippines.

 As was mentioned above, it’s scheduled to be released on

September 25, 2013. This release date can change though

 if problems are encountered along the way. The film was

 supposed to be released in October but they moved the

 released date earlier to September.

The plot of Kung Fu Divas revolves around two aspiring

 beauty queens. They are played by de las Alas and Rivera.

Theyare vying for the crown in a barangay beauty pageant

 dubbed Hiyas ng Dalampasigan. As their rivalry intensifies,

 they decide to fight it off the Kung Fu way. Thus the title of

 the movie. The films also stars Edward Mendez, Gloria Diaz,

Precious Lara Quigaman and Roderick Paulate.
