Pasigarbo sa Sugbo is a colorful exhibition & showdown of all Cebuano festivals. It is celebrated every August in time with the founding anniversary celebration of Cebu Province.
The highlights of this festival is through a street dancing which captures and preserves the Bantayanons unique traditional fishing rituals inherent to this island through a dance movement, music and visual arts. Palawod, means to go further in the middle of the sea. This festival falls on lastweek of June.
The island paradise of Bantayan has successfully defended its crown by winning the Pasigarbo sa Subgo 2009 Ritual and Showdown contest held at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) in Mandaue City. Earlier, a streetdance competition was also held among the 30 participating festivals of the Province of Cebu.
