Agricultural societies have given honor to the farmer's best friend through a carabao race
and one of these is the municipality of Pavia, an agricultural town 9.6 kilometers
north of Iloilo City which is also known for its "baye-baye" (glutinous rice) and
"suman" (rice cake with brown sugar).
The race is in line with the town's Carabao-Carroza festival,
the longest existing celebration in Iloilo Province at 40 years.
This one of a kind race truly epitomizes a country-like contest,
the truest depiction of fun for Filipinos.
