Yesterday, me and my managers went to downtown Cebu particularly in Colon and Carbon. Good thing it was not soo crowded when we went there. But Colon is the busiest and crowded area in Cebu. I was also told by my friends that when going to those area, you must be extra careful for pick pocketers, and as much as possible don’t bring your cell phones or anything valuable except of course for your money. Its best if you're new to the place to go there in the morning because it's not soo crowded compared in the afternoon when its already the office workers and students off. I've been to Colon like a couple of times already, so I somewhat knew the area. If you really want to buy clothes, shoes, bags for a cheaper rate then you might as well go there because you could bargain for the price and ask for the lowest price they could give. And you could also buy lot of gadgets like DVD’s, TV’s, mp3, mp4, cell phones and a lot more. Manager Chrissy brought a phone from there and I'm interested in buying an mp4 for myself next time because I lost mine when I went to Manila last year. And you could still bargain for the price. Sounds good to me. =) We also went to Carbon and on the way there, we pass by a University and in the sidewalk there were vendors selling banana-que and camote sticks. Both my mangers tried it and Manager Angela told me it was good. It's a common snack in here, so you could see vendor's selling them near school area. Carbon on the other hand is typically a market. It is much more crowded than Colon, and I don't like to go there myself because I'm scared. They sell vegetables, fruits, they also have wet market (fish, chicken, pork), almost food commodity. I don’t know the place much so it's better to be safe and not go there, so I go Supermarkets when I buy my groceries. It’s also convenient for me. =)
