Being away from home makes me sometimes lonely but I'm glad it's easy to keep in touch with them. My cousin Mae is like a sister to me and we keep in touch almost everyday through phone. She updates me with what has been going on in our hometown and news about our family and friends. We're really close because we've been through a lot of our own when we were still both working in Manila. She's been like a big sister and mother to me. When I need someone to talk to or share my problems, shes been there. We share happy moments together during our time in Manila because we share the passion for traveling or going someplace new. During weekends we go out and visit different places especially when we were still new to the place (Manila). So I miss her terribly since she's not here with me in Cebu. My closest friend in Cebu went abroad just last December so I need to rely on my friends at my boarding house to tell me where to go and which places are nice. My brother also updates me when it comes to my bills payment. Ouch! He reminds me about the due date and the total amount due so that I won't get penalized for it. At least he's somewhat concerned, heheh.... =) He also lets me know the updates on my dad's side family. Filipino's are known for its close-knit family and we really do keep in touch and when there is a need to help a family, we do so without them telling us. That's what I like about our family. Sometimes you don't need to ask for help, usually the help is already there when they see that you need it. I hope to see them soon. They're actually planning for summer activities usually beach outing and I'm trying to convince them to have it here in Cebu. Hopefully! Or else I might miss the fun.
