Buko Juice- is a Coconut Juice/ Cocunut Water

the clear liquid inside the coconut. It’s best when the coconut is young and green and freshly

 harvested from the tree. The meat is tender and It’s also best drink directly from the coconut through a hole.  You can add sugar and milk if you want … and ice cubes just like in the

Philippines will always be warm if not hot and muggy. To counter those warm days, snacks

 like halo-halo is always ready at hand. And nothing more satisfying than having one’s halo-halo in a buko shell teaming with young coconut meat. To sum it up, buko halo is a tropical delight!

 

BUKO HALO. This is a very popular version of the regular halo-halo placed in a young

coconut shell. For the uninitiated reader, halo-halo is like snow cone with tropical fruits

added. It is topped up with milk and sugar and, if one prefers, a scoop of ice cream

will be a treat.


 

 

Having buko halo is such a delight during warm sunny days here in the Philippines. One has

the option of scraping the young coconut meat and mixed them in your halo-halo or, eat

them last after finishing one's halo. Its yours to decide. ENJOY!
