Gensan City
The annual celebration of Tuna Festival is the city’s tribute to the significance of the Tuna Industry to the City’s strong economy. It is also the city’s expression of celebrating the bounty of being the “Tuna Capital of the Philippines”.
SM City General Santos’ entry in the Tuna Float Competition for the Tuna Festival bagged the Best Tuna Float Award.
For Tuna Festival 2014, once again, the colorful, animated and massive entry of SM City lorded it over the competition from mostly the Tuna Capital’s fishing companies, there was no doubt that their float entry deserved the title.
