ZUBUCHON
I've been reading about Zubuchon as this is the brainchild of
renowned food blogger Marketman. People have been raving
at how good it was and so it truly was perfect to make it our first
meal in beautiful Cebu.
Zubuchon also sells frozen lechon packed and covered well for
you to take home. Our chef companion told me that Marketman
also makes really good jams too. Sadly, I forgot to buy some
during this trip.
Zubuchon is located at One Mango Avenue building, Gen Maxilom
Avenue, Cebu City. For orders, call them at (032)-2395697.
They also have branches in Escario Central Building,
at the Lobby of
Island Stays hotel in Lapu-Lapu (Mactan) City and at the
Pre-Departure Lounge of the Mactan Domestic Airport.
Cebu is almost synonymous to lechon so of course
Id have to have a Food Porn post dedicated to
Cebus beloved roast suckling pig.
First off, were biased, W and I are avid
Marketmanila readers hence we wouldve
considered our Cebu trip a success even if
the only thing we did was eat at Zubuchon.
However, everyone from our cab driver to
the front desk receptionist at our hotel was telling
us to eat at CnT Lechon so we decided to give it a try.
This is the Zubuchon branch along Escario St. We went
there for brunch on a weekday. I loved everything we
ordered except for the tomatoes, salted eggs and
onions side dish which was a bit too strong for my taste.
The lechon was divine, the flavor was very subtle and
we easily finished half a kilo. No umay factor thanks to the
kamias shake which apparently has anti-fat properties so
youd feel less guilty about the amount of lechon youd
consume.
