Sutukil restaurants are very common in Cebu, these are local restaurants where you could pick fresh seafoods and have it cook for you. During our visit we decided to try Inday Pina's Sutukil because at first we were told that they have an "over looking view" at their restaurant. We should have checked the view first because, what they were bragging about is actually a dried up swamp. The interior of the restaurant is much to be desired. The front part of the restaurant is decorated with curtain shells and wooden fish to give the underwater feel while the back of the restaurant where we dined has a few shell curtain decor.
HOWEVER, Inday Pina's lack in ambiance and restaurant decoration they made up with their food. We ordered grilled fish and pork, baked scallops and Sinigang na Hipon (Shrimp with broth). All were very delicious and the service was fast. They even have a harp player as entertainment.
Favorite Dish: Sutukil is a Bisayan word coined from SUBA-TULA and KILAW which means grilled, broth and raw. These are three ways to cook seafoods in the Visayan region and in Inday Pina's, what I liked the best was their broth. We ordered the Shrimp which we call Sinigang na Hipon in Tagalog. The broth was very tasty, It's the right combination of salty and sour. The shrimps are also very fresh. You'll enjoy it very much!
