More than a dozen people were reported killed and scores were wounded in a predawn highway accident in Naga town, Cebu province, before dawn Saturday.

A radio dzMM report said an ADC minibus (GWL-225) was speeding along the national highway in Naga town when it smashed into an approaching trailer truck (GWH-298) around 5 a.m.

The report said there were at least 15 fatalities in the collision, including bus driver Aladdin Lawit, his conductor Allan Domingo and the unidentified truck driver.

Majority of the fatalities and injured victims were passengers of the minibus, the report added.

The victims have been brought to the South General Hospital.
