MANILA, Philippines — Family and financial problems prompted a guest relations officer to take her own life in a videoke bar in Marilao town, Bulacan province Monday night.

Radio dzXL reported late Tuesday the GRO, initially identified as Julie Ann Estrenez, 19, drank a bottle of jewelry cleaner inside the bar where she worked.

The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. at the videoke bar along MacArthur Highway in Abangan Norte village in Marilao town in Bulacan.

Colleagues who saw the victim's mouth froth rushed her to a nearby hospital but she died after two hours.
