TINUY-AN FALLS and ENCHANTED RIVER






Tinuy-an Falls is a waterfall in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur in the southern island of Mindanao, Philippines.
It is the main tourist attraction in Bislig, a city known as the Booming City by the Bay.




 




The falls are 95 m wide and 55 metres (180 ft) high, touted as the Niagara Falls of the Philippines.
Tinuy-an is a white water curtain that flows in three levels and is said to be the widest waterfall in the Philippines.
Every morning, the area shows a rainbow between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.







Tinuy-an Falls is a three tier cascading waterfall (with a fourth tier hidden from view). It is Bislig's number one tourist attraction and one of the main attractions in the entire region of Surigao Del Sur.

Its magnificent cascades are found in Burboanan, a one hour ride from Mangagoy, the center of trade and commerce in Bislig City.




Road to Tinuy-an Falls









Often called the Niagara Falls of the Philippines, it is said to be the widest falls in the country. Centuries old amazing giant trees, ferns and vines in a thick rain forest envelop your ride through thick forested hills that enclose the falls. There are three small islets in the swimming ground, with slippery logs where you can cross for a good view, plus multi-layered stones as pathways.
