Kagasangan comes from the Cebuano word of the same name which means “corals”. It is the highlight of the town’s annual town fiesta and celebrates the town’s main tourist attraction - its corals. Moalboal, the diving capital of the Philippines, takes prides as having one of the most bountiful and breathtaking coral formations thus giving the town an abundance of fish catch.
