Karansa Festival emphasizes the joy and happiness of their cultures and heritage through a dance movement, showdown competition and Karansa Festival Queen in Danao City.

They are performing the four basic steps of a dance movement like kikay, karag, kurug and kurahay and this festival wasalso known for potters that will gather and celebrates for a successful day of work, which it falls on the 3^rd Sunday of September, in honor to St. Sto.Thomas de Villanueva, their patron saint. This festival is located in Dano City.

Danao City, a 3rd class city in the province of Cebu, will celebrates the Karansa Festival  and 341th town fiesta this coming September 18-19 2012. The festival is a traditional  celebration of thanksgiving in honor to St. Sto. Thomas de Villanueva, town patron saint.

 In a little way, its a dance to be merry and to celebrates. It was called Karansa          because the people of Brgy. Suba in Danao City, known for Pottery making, will gather and will celebrate for a successful day of work through performing a dance.
