EX) Jang phil-ja / Linzy / 010-000-0000 / 23. May. 07 / 12weeks / Philja academy

Today the weather is same as yesterday.Yesterday morning, I visited SME

and had my breakfast there with my friends.. After breakfast, I talked with my

friends until the bell rang because it's the start of the class so I went out and

rode a jeepney to the lounge..I made my diary and then talked with Manager

Gang and Manager Brian...and then Manager Gang asked me to go with

Manager Brian in SME and there I met 2 new students from Philja. They are

Tracy and Lynn... They are kind and a little talkative...and they really listen to me when I introduce the lounge to them..kkk...after our conversation with the new students we went to Life Cebu to give the poster about the event this

coming saturday...We only stayed there for a short time and then we went to Ayala to eat lunch. We ate in Flame It. It was my first time to eat there but it's

good. Their burgers are bigger than the other fastfood store.. After eating we went back to the lounge because I still have a phone conversation but unfortunately the internet phone is not working so I wasn't able to talk to Sayid, Jane, and Alvin. Yesterday, I also received my 1st salary so I was happy and I went home early because I can't have a phone conversation. I also looked for a

new place but it's very expensive for me... so I went to the department store and met my friend and then we ate dinner and talked. At 9:00, I went home

and there my roommate was waiting for me and she was bored...^o^.. So we talked about anything that came out into our mind. We talked about delicious

food and we felt tired and sleepy so we slept....

More TIPS for learning English

Don't be afraid of grammar

  • Grammar is for communication
Sometimes students get obsessed with grammar. This is especially true for students who grew up with strict grammar schooling. Remember that you only study grammar in order to communicate. Practice with a few exercises, then write an essay or have a conversation and try to use your new tools.
  • Isolate your weak points
Don't waste time on grammar exercises that you already understand just because they are easier for you. Concentrate on grammar that is difficult for you. If you are unsure of where your problems are, write a few short essays or paragraphs and ask a teacher to circle repeated errors. Then you can look up your problem and practice it.
  • Teach grammar points to a friend
Find a friend who studies at a lower level than you. Teaching will force you to remember the rules and to understand them properly. Try preparing a worksheet for your friend.
