MANILA, Philippines - Three students of St. Mary's Academy drowned after being swept away by floodwaters in North Cotabato province last weekend, a radio report said early Tuesday.
Radio dzBB reported that the three fatalities were identified as Janely Antipuesto, Precion Taeza, and Kristian May de la Cruz, 15.
The three were previously reported as missing.
Antipuesto and Taeza's bodies were recovered at Libertad village while dela Cruz's body was recovered at another village.
I think this accident made us realize that when there's a storm or heavy rain we don't allow people to get out of their house. I think this is a lesson for all the people not to cut trees and if it happens plant another trees so that there will be trees that will absorb the water and that will prevent flood in the area.
