Teacher Jang
Have you ever wondered about your teacher? Some people say that of all the hard jobs around, one of the hardest is being a good teacher. In my case I agree with them. I have five teachers; they teach me different skills in English. They always make my classes enjoyable. I always tell my stories to them but this time it is my turn to tell their story.
Jang is my reading and group class teacher. He loves telling stories that’s why sometimes I believe he is a liar. Every single day, Jang tells me a lie. His first lie, there are four mermaids living in Burnham Lake. According to him, you can see the mermaids on Saturdays at 6pm during full moon. His second lie, he said that every Wednesday it is snowing in Session Road so people can go skiing downhill. Sadly, I can’t go out on weekdays, so I can’t check if Session Road that my teacher is talking about is really frozen. I feel so silly talking with Jang. He also introduced his family to me. His mother is 97 years old and his father is 98 while his grandmother is 143. They live in Mt. Apo. Jang is 39 and his wife is 37 years old. He got married at the age of 18 after which he had 3 kids. His first son, Nana is 22 years old. The meaning of Nana is strong. His first daughter, Anna is 20 years old. The meaning of Anna is beautiful and lovely. His second daughter, Lina is 18 years old. Lina means cute. On the other hand, Jang means someone who is a strong man. He studied fashion designing that’s why he is really good at sewing. He also told me that he is a “fashionista” but I don’t think so. His reason was that he has to go to work so he wears his clothes loosely. Jang is always humming; he enjoys playing harmonica, drinking wine and eating dog meat. I can say Teacher Jang is my crazy teacher.
